More evidence that connorbeast and I are psychically linked. I promised to write Wes/Connor for him (just for him because it relies on a gigantic amount of backstory that we both made up, and the two of us have a high tolerance for W/C fluff), but he didn't ask for any specific plot. Next night, as I prepared to send it to him, he said he wanted to read schmoopy Connor/Wesley on a road trip, on the way to Vegas. Which is exactly what I'd written. More evidence that we are the same person, Fight Club style.

Speaking of which, almost came to blows (appropriately enough) with a guy in work over the movie Fight Club. He says it's the worst movie ever made. I say it's one of the best. He says I only like it because Brad Pitt's in it. I say that that's patronising and not a wise thing to say to a woman brandishing a pricing gun. But seriously, I hate the presumption that I only like a movie because of the rampant male totty. The only thing worse is "you only hated Matrix Reloaded because clearly you're not intelligent enough to understand the subtleties of the plot."

Looks like Andrew (my real-life friend, not the Buffy character) and I are going to have a Lord of the Rings day on Wednesday. Extended Fellowship and Two Towers. And maybe one of the many drinking games online.

Right now my dad is playing some sort of Simon and Garfunkel medley on his guitar. In the bathroom.

This is why, any time I do anything that might be considered a little strange - like announcing that I want to be a shark when I grow up - my mum gives him that look that quite clearly says "she gets it from you". (My dad's reaction on that occasion was a very interested "what kind of shark?")

Going to be away till late Wednesday night, so sorry if I don't answer emails or comments. ambitch, was it you who wanted a Buffy/Cordy story betaed? Did you send it? My email's been eating attachments so I might not have received it.
