Because it's always fun to get a straight male's view on these things, I showed Kevin the season 5 promo poster. His reaction:

Trying to stay out of the latest kerfuffle because I'm a born fence-sitter. I have this annoying habit of thinking both sides have valid and interesting points. Besides, the BAPS war over B/A is more vehement and it's so unusual to see a bunch of B/A-defending going on over there that that's where my attention's at.

I'm loosely interpreting that as slash and het. Slash: Stuart and Vince, QAF-UK. Het: Spike and Buffy.

Which pairing do you just not understand?

Hmmm... Clark/Lana. Don't get it at all. My mum, on the other hand, thinks it's lovely and romantic.

Which pairings were you initially against, but found yourself warming toward? (real and fake, any fandom).

Buffy/Xander. Xander/Anya. Any of the canon pairings except Buffy/Spike and Willow/Oz took a while to grow on me. Looking back over my old reviews when I was moving my site to the new server, I discovered I used to be not in favour of Lilah/Wes. Was I on crack?!

Anyone care to join connorbeast and me in a friendly wager? He reckons Spike will kiss Angel at least once next year, but that it'll be a Judas thing. Whereas I think there'll be a kiss, but some tenuous in-story reason for it, like comatose Cordy taking over Spike's body to say goodbye to Angel.

There's a fiver riding on this.
