I was describing my forays into the land of femslash to Kevin, and mentioned a Faith/Cordelia/Britney story I read today. He was mightily disappointed that the tale didn't end with a grisly death for Ms. Spears, and rewrote the ending...

As Britney turned to leave, Faith yelled out, "look out for that AT-AT!"

Alas, it was too late and Britney was hideously crushed beneath the imperial transport's feet. Cordy then turned to Faith, bemused, and enquired: "but aren't AT-AT's only found in the fictional world of Star Wars?" to which Faith simply replied "shhh".

There's a hideous noise outside. One of the girls in the village must be getting married; she and the groom-to-be are being dragged around in an open trailer followed by a stream of cars, all blasting their horns. The couple are covered in ketchup and shaving foam and other nasty stuff.

My parents are out in the street watching with everybody else. They firmly approve of this great Irish tradition. I think I just worked out why my brother and his fiancee don't want to get married here...
