More flashfic stuff

I'm now at 900 words, and about halfway done. At this point I have a couple of options:
- do what connorbeast suggested and have the characters just meet in a bar, making it more cliched but dispensing with a couple of hundred words of setup
- do what Kevin suggested and "sacrifice the dialogue and characterisation for random porn" (or similar)
- or cut all the couply bits and just have the characters talk. Which kind of defeats the purpose, really.

File sharing strangeness

I'm searching for the song Vampires in Love on a certain file-sharing network that we'll call Dazaa, and all I can find is valereix's (excellent) video of the song. Which seems to be pretty popular. Still, I got a kick out of entering "vampires in love" and the first search result being titled "Spike and Angel".

Off to stripmine more of the fanfic archives for slash. You know you read far too much fanfic when, while cataloguing what you already have on file, you can not only mentally equate several different pseudonyms with that person's LJ name, but you can also identify anonymous fics just by the formatting of the page...

An odd Buffy question...

I'm looking at some Anya websites. What's with the "Emmerson" thing? We've been told at least twice onscreen that her name's Jenkins. Did she call herself Emmerson in The Wish or was it just a fanon thing?
