Feb. 18th, 2003 01:07 pmTrying desperately to avoid the wildfeed. I almost managed it last week but I kept seeing "STILL" everywhere and broke down. Damn my curiosity.
Last night was spent celebrating the 21st anniversary of the Connorbeast's birth. Cake was consumed, Tom Welling calendars were given as presents and much fun was had by all. Our attempts to go out were thwarted, though, when every gay club in Belfast (by which I mean both gay clubs in Belfast) were closing up just as we got to them. I think they were trying to tell us something...
Still, we ended up in a cool bar that had a live band - the music was good, the drink flowed like a... flowing thing and since it was a punk band the place was apparently holding their Subway Flashback Spike Lookalike Contest, so there was plenty for me to look at. The night was rounded off by a visit to the 24 hour Sainsburys to get icecream. I have no idea if the security guard was laughing because of Hazel (who had never been in a 24-hour store and was very excited - "can I really buy ANYTHING?!") or because I was wearing a collar and lead.
Really need to go and do my optics homework. Again, it's callous and unfair to make us work to get a degree. And at some point I need to update the First's journal (update in the sense that I need to leave a note in it saying I won't be doing it any more since I'm going unspoiled).
