Ha. Have finally gotten off my lazy arse and slapped together a splash page and (very basic) site portal for exitseraphim.net. Now I need to get my fanfic site, Hall of Mirrors, online and work out what to do with the rest of my space...

The Waiting in the Wings caps are so beautiful that it was hard to pick which one to use. The shot of the ballerina by herself gets my vote for the most beautiful image in any Buffy or Angel episode eve.

the beauty of the ep. is over shadowed (to me, anyway) by the fact that alexis went dancing around like a moron in tights.

any time i see those pics i think, "oh god it that fred? oh god, is that from the daydream??"

and any enjoyment is lost. but that pic on the splash is just so *beautiful* it made me forget about that.

:shudders: That scene is horrendous. Thank God it was cut.

i'm so glad someone else agrees with me on that. i seriously thought i was alone in not liking the scene.

Dunno what anybody else thinks of it, but my face was blazing with embarrassment watching it. Maybe I could have seen it during season 3 Buffy. Maybe. (Joss does say in the Spin the Bottle commentary that he much prefers the dorky Wes who fell down all the time, so maybe that explains it)

I now have a few days worth of AU to read. *curses you*

(Well not really, but graah! There needs to be slashy AU so I don't feel as bad about reading it. Really.)

Mainly I was thinking "JOSS! What sort of crack were you smoking when you did this episode!"

I don't know whether to commend Alexis for having the guts to shimmy around and look an arse in tights, or to shame him for NOT having the guts to say, "Joss! Put down the crack pipe! I am NOT shimmying around in tights!"

Oooh! That is so very, very shiny and gorgeous. I love the picture, and I definitely have to agree with you on the beauty of that scene. Although, when Buffy and Dawn crawled out of the earth in "Grave" that was pretty stunning.

Fyi, the Ice Cream for Freaks link on the Cordelia page to Cordelia/Xander actually leads to Cordelia/Fred, and while I'm all for Fredslash, I thought you should know. :)

And yeah, gorgeous River ballerina pic. :) Did you futz with it or is that it in its base form? (I grabbed it for iconage if the latter is true.)

I don't think I did anything with it. Icon away!

I love the name "Exit Seraphim". Can I scribble that in my "possible short story titles" notes? And what's the poem that it's from.

Sure! It's from this poem (which is my Connor/Wesley post-mindwipe theirloveissonevergoingtohappen poem):

Mad Girl's Love Song
by Sylvia Plath

I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;
I lift my lids and all is born again.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

The stars go waltzing out in blue and red,
And arbitrary blackness gallops in:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.

I dreamed that you bewitched me into bed
And sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade:
Exit seraphim and Satan's men:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.

I fancied you'd return the way you said,
But I grow old and I forget your name.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

I should have loved a thunderbird instead;
At least when spring comes they roar back again.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)
