Mar. 11th, 2004 10:40 amI think I'm caught up in feedbacking people who've written stuff for me - if I've missed you, please let me know.
(As your friendly neighbourhood crack dealer I feel compelled to point you towards the Het Ficathon)
Was thinking about Soul Purpose. The random bear in the dissection part of the dream/hallucination - is that a Harvey Birdman in-joke? Harvey Birdman is an utterly genius Hanna Barbera cartoon about a law firm run by and representing superheroes and villains. There's a bear that turns up every so often for no apparent reason. (Anyone who hasn't seen this show should try and get their hands on a copy. It may be the funniest thing I have ever seen. Most of the episodes revolve around an old cartoon character being arrested: Fred Flintstone for involvement with the Mafia, Shaggy and Scooby for possession of dope. Ooh, and Johnny Quest's dad and the other guy from that show get an episode as a gay couple involved in a custody battle. The slash is very canon ("mm, bicurious" the firm's boss, Phil, chuckles to himself at one point) - though saying that, Harvey getting together with Yogi Bear's sidekick Bobo is the most disturbing thing that has ever graced my TV screen. And I mean that in the best way.)
