At least there was no sneaky Jaws attacking or Emmazilla roars this time (the Connorbeast got quite upset by that last night), because she found attractions of swimming were less than the attractions of sleep.
I have a tiny tendency to fantasize (I am Andrew) that leads me to, say, pretend to be Jaws or a mighty sea monster in the swimming pool. It's a self defence mechanism. Last time I went swimming I was somewhat thinner and this time I had to fight off the paranoia that a Japanese whaling fleet was lurking in the shallow end.
I liked swimming, though. I might go to the pool myself this afternoon if the attractions of swimming manage to outweigh the attractions of reading my new comics. I got the last two volumes of Essential Spiderman and a gorgeous hardcover Daredevil graphic novel. Add to that the fact that my Angel season 3 DVDs should arrive any day and you'll realise how much money I've spent this month. Eep.
