My laptop is dead. It's only 6 weeks old, it's fully charged, but it won't power up. I've tried connecting it to a monitor, but it's not getting a signal.
It's under warranty, so I should, but since I'm haphazrd about backing things up, a lot of stuff would be lost. Including about half of a Dawn/Xander WIP that I love :sigh:
*clings to you* Laptops dying is inherently sad. Always.
*pets her laptop* My laptops have a thing with dying. But then again, mine are always really used and semi-stolen. (*cough* From my dad's work...they were throwing perfectly good laptops out anyways, like they miss them?)
*pets you* I hope your laptop is just being an asshat rather than being permanantly dead.
*hugs* the laptop's under warranty so, fingers crossed, there should be no problem getting a replacement. But I'm resigned to waving goodbye to all the unfinished/unposted fic which I wasfar too scatterbrained to back up...
Ack! I'm so sorry. Wear your pillbox hat, march into the store, and I hope they'll be able to fix it. It so sucks to have something break down, and sucks worse to lose your work. May it turn out all right - my best thoughts to you!
