I love Sandra Boynton too! When I worked with under 4s at my last daycare, they were my favourites of all our books, and if I could, I would have just read all of them.
I've known it as "But Not the Hippopotamus" though. I'm pretty sure we mean the same book ;
Back to the Mr. Men books, my sister gives them as birthday cards. She points out how they cost about the same as a store bought card, but people actually keep them, and you still have the advantage of being able to match up personalities to the story.
