They have them in Canada; my daughters have lots of them. The newer ones aren't as good; I think the author died quite a bit ago and they're still producing them, written by his wife? I grew up on them, so they must have been around for decades. Lovely idea and sweet illustrations.
If you want more cuteness, I'd recc "But Not The Armadillo" by Sandra Boynton (any of hers really) or Mick Inkpen's Wibbly Pig stories :-)
